  • BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Dr. Harrison is experienced in treating certain behavioral disorders such as separation anxiety and can develop a treatment regimen for your pet.  We also offer referrals to dog trainers or veterinarian behaviorists in the local area.

  • RABBITS AND SMALL MAMMALS

Veterinary medicine for exotic pets is growing as the popularity of these animals increase. With better public education in health, nutritional and environmental management, all species have a greater chance for living longer and healthier lives. Dr. Harrison is experienced in the care and treatments of rabbits and small mammals (guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats and mice).

  • DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Dental Xrays and oral surgery are also offered on the premises.

  • FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. What we don't offer can be scripted to a local pharmacy near you or in some cases, online.

  • ENDOSCOPY

High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination and biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. Foreign objects can also be removed without the need for surgery. We can provide this service on our premises through a local specialist on-call or by referral to a nearby board-certified internist that provides this service.

  • IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea/ tick control; vaccination program; spay and neutering and specialized blood tests for all life stages.

  • MICROCHIPPING

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip product, Home Again,  to increase the chances of a safe recovery. The microchip is approximately the size of a grain of rice.  It is made of inert plastic and is injected into the scruff of your pet's neck.  Typically it is done on young pets at the time of their spay or neutering.

  • NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Some pets require special food for special medical problems.  We offer IVD, Hills and Purina therapeutic diets.  What we don't have in-stock can be ordered.  These are prescription diets and therefore require a prescription from your veterinarian.
